Northallerton Centre Pool closed
Published on Friday, 14th December 2018
Northallerton Leisure Centre’s swimming pool will be closed until further notice due to essential maintenance work.
Investigations into problems with one of the pools air handling units are underway – with all other units being inspected at the centre.
The rest of the centre is unaffected - the gym, sauna and fitness suite are all open for business as usual.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this unexpected problem but safety is always our top priority and we must undertake a full check of the pool area before we re-open,” said Head of Leisure Services, Steve Lister.
“That includes checking all the ceiling units in the pool area – as well as units in our other centres in Stokesley, Bedale and Thirsk. We will let customers know as soon as we re-open but please visit www.hambleton.gov.uk/zest for updates.”
It is hoped the work will be completed by the middle of next week – further updates will be issued on hambleton.gov.uk/zest and the facebook and twitter accounts for Hambleton District Council and Northallerton Leisure Centre.
