Parkin a success on Yorkshire Day
Published on Thursday, 2nd August 2018
Yorkshire tea, Wensleydale Cheese and Yorkshire Parkin were all on the menu in Easingwold as they celebrated Yorkshire Day(1 August).
The celebrations were organised by Easingwold Tourist Information Centre to celebrate the distinctive café culture of the town – and supported by Hambleton District Council’s Vibrant Market Towns team.
Doreen Snell of Easingwold was the winner of the ‘Easingwold TIC Best Parkin Certificate for 2018’ – after an informal tasting of all donated entries of Parkin took place!
It was one in a programme of events designed to encourage residents and visitors to visit the town and support the local economy and so successful that plans are already afoot for next year.
