Watery Easter egg hunt
Published on Tuesday, 27th March 2018
Visitors to Hambleton’s four leisure centres this Easter period are in for an eggs-tra treat!
For the district council run pools in Bedale, Northallerton, Stokesley and Thirsk are offering a poolside Easter egg hunt.
During all general swim and parent and tot sessions clues will be hidden on Easter eggs – solve the secret word to be in with a chance of winning five family swim passes worth £59.50 (£64.50 at Northallerton).
The ‘hunt’ which takes place from 30 March to 16 April is part of the work by Hambleton’s new Swim Activators to help get more people swimming.
- Hambleton is one of 12 councils across the country working with Sport England to encourage more people to use their local swimming pool. The council has embarked on a programme of improvements and awareness raising to encourage residents to improve their health through swimming. This includes SwimTag and the introduction of Pool Activators – district council employees working in the community – to help get more people swimming.
