Medieval market coming to Northallerton
An authentic medieval market it coming to Northallerton this weekend – for two days of stalls, characters and music.
The free market which will pitch up in the town centre on Saturday and Sunday (October 29 and 30) from 10am to 5pm. Through sights, sounds and smells it promises to bring to life how a market might have looked in Northallerton between 1066 and 1307.
Working in partnership with Historic England and re-enactment specialists, the Conquest Living History Society, Hambleton District Council is hosting the event as part of its wider work associated with the High Street Heritage Action Zone Cultural programme supported by Historic England.
Music at the market will be provided by medieval musicians, Trouvere.
