Why not Discover Hambleton this Christmas?
Christmas has arrived in Hambleton, so why not get out and about and explore our district?
To help highlight what’s on offer during the festive period, #DiscoverHambleton began a promotional tour of the district this week with Council Leader Councillor Mark Robson and other local councillors visiting businesses and seasonal events to show their support.
Launched in May, the #DiscoverHambleton social media platforms, now reach thousands of people every week on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and consistently showcase the very best the district has to offer.
The social media feeds act as a one-stop shop for residents, visitors and tourists who want to find out more about what the district has to offer, with local leisure and tourism businesses urged to provide information about their businesses to be considered for the feeds.
Councillor Mark Robson, Leader of Hambleton District Council said: “Our first #DiscoverHambleton tour at the start of the summer was a real success, helping to put local businesses on the map and raise our district’s profile just as we began to emerge from the Covid lockdown.
“With so much going on during the festive period across our district, it seemed the perfect time to do the same again, but also as Leader of the Council, I want to spread some festive cheer and show my support to our local business community who are still working hard to recover from the Covid crisis.
“I hope that the #DiscoverHambleton campaign, provides that much-needed practical support for our businesses, in encouraging people to get out and about across our beautiful district and enjoy what’s on offer at Christmas time.”
The tour will visit all six of Hambleton’s market towns and a selection of surrounding businesses, between Monday 29 November and Wednesday 8 December.
