Three ways to vote in November elections

Polling station

Hambleton voters have three ways to vote in the November elections for North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, and in the local by election.

Poll cards for voting in person are being delivered this week. But residents can also choose to vote by post or by proxy (appointing someone they trust to vote in their place). The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on November 10, and for a proxy vote the deadline is 5pm on November 17.

The elections take place on November 25. Voters in Hambleton’s Raskelf and White Horse ward will also be choosing a new district councillor following the resignation of Councillor Jill Mortimer.

Voters should not attend the polling station if they have symptoms of Covid-19, or if they have been asked to self-isolate. There will be provisions in place to apply for an emergency proxy vote if required due to health circumstances.
