Do you know more Hambleton Heroes

Launch of Hambleton Heroes

Hambleton District Council (HDC) is again inviting nominations for its successful ‘Hambleton Heroes’ scheme, aimed at recognising those who’ve gone above and beyond, so far in 2021.

Since the start of the Covid crisis, there have been many acts of kindness and generosity as well as examples of communities pulling together and going that extra mile to help and support those who need it.

The ‘Hambleton Heroes’ scheme gives people the opportunity to say thank you to a Hambleton Hero who has supported them.

HDC wants to acknowledge the selfless acts and relentless efforts that have made a real difference to residents from across the district when they’ve needed it most and celebrate the innovative ways people have overcome challenges in their community.

Councillor Paula Thompson, portfolio holder for leisure said “We have already seen so many good examples of kindness, community spirit and selflessness from the nominations received for our 2020 Hambleton Heroes programme and we want to give people a further opportunity to nominate individuals and organisations who have made a real difference during 2021 so far. I’m looking forward to hearing about more individual or group efforts that have made a real difference to our residents.”
