The outgoing Chairman of Hambleton District Council has handed over £830 charity.
Councillor David Blades chose the Yorkshire Air Ambulance which has a base at Topcliffe near Thirsk to support during his year in office.
“Since it was established in 2000 the service has carried 7,866 patients with life threatening injuries to hospitals. It serves a population of five million people over four million acres. Every single penny raised goes direct to keeping this vital service running.
“They are a very hardworking group and I am pleased to have been able to use my Chairman’s year to support them”
