New date set for Newby Wiske planning meeting

A new date has been set for a meeting to determine the future of Newby Wiske Hall.
Members of Hambleton District Council’s Planning Committee will meet on Wednesday May 29 to deal with the applications for planning permission and listed building consent at the former North Yorkshire police headquarters. PGL is seeking consent to allow the site to be used as a children’s residential training centre.
The meeting was delayed earlier this year after it was discovered that certain documents relating to the development had not been available to local people. The planning documents are now available on hambleton.gov.uk
The Planning Committee meeting is being held at Solberge Hall at 10am on Wednesday May 29.
