Hambleton is set to welcome thousands of cyclists into the district in May when it once more plays host to the Tour de Yorkshire.
The tour will head through three of the market towns – Bedale, Northallerton and Thirsk – as the riders journey from Richmond to Scarborough on Saturday 5 May.
It will be the third day of the annual ‘tour’ which this year will be staged over four days for the first time - and takes in huge swathes of North Yorkshire.
The stage starts in Richmond taking in Crakehall, Bedale, Morton on Swale, Ainderby Steeple, Northallerton, Thirsk and Sutton Under Whitestonecliffe before climbing up Sutton Bank and heading out of the Hambleton district to end in Scarborough.
