We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, reliable individual to work in the Business and Economy Service and to assist us with engaging and empowering businesses across Hambleton.
The Business Engagement Officer post would be expected to work across the whole of Hambleton’s Area. The role is to provide a key interface between the council and the local business community on Council activity relating to economic and business development. We would expect the post holder to engage with the business community by sharing information, consulting businesses and facilitate businesses to access a range of support services from external sources and internal to Hambleton. You would be required to work with groups, run workshops & events, relate well to people and offer impartial advice on a wide range of business issues.
The Business Engagement Officer post is based predominately in Northallerton but will be expected to travel throughout the district.
A confident networker you will need to be flexible, enthusiastic and reliable, keen to make a difference and support the Manager in engaging with businesses.

Experience of working in a business sector environment would be advantageous.
