The Council’s successful CCTV Team are looking to recruit a Casual Operator to cover absences.

We are looking for a well-motivated, trustworthy and reliable person who is capable of working on their own in a multi-tasking environment. You will be a link, via a Police radio, to the Police Control Room and Officers on the ground to report and react to incidents which require Police attendance.

The successful candidate will have excellent observational skills, be a good communicator, with good IT skills, able to pay attention to detail, pass a DBS check and Police Vetting and be willing to work shifts, sometimes at short notice, including weekends, Bank Holidays and unsociable hours.  Training can take up to 160 hours which you will need to complete prior to working shifts alone.  You will also be required to hold, or be willing to complete, SIA training which is a 4 day course. 

You should be educated to GCSE or equivalent in both English and Maths.
