Hambleton District Council is fully committed to local transparency and as part of this, publishes a register of all contracts.
The register details all contracts with commercial organisations and voluntary or community groups that have a total value above £5,000 and also includes any procurements the Council has planned within the next 12 months, thus incorporating the Forward Plan.
Where a contract is open for expressions of interest this will be identified alongside the contract and suppliers are welcome to register their interest at that time by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and letting the Council know which contract you are interested in. The Council will then keep you informed about that specific contract.
The register is updated as and when new contracts are agreed and can be downloaded here.
Under the Openness of Local Government Bodies Regulations 2014, the Council is required to record various decisions. In relation to procurement, the Council must publish a written record of any decision to award a contract or incur expenditure which, in either case, materially affects the Council's financial position and it must contain the following information:
- date of decision to award the contract
- reason for the decision
- alternative options considered
- conflict of interests declared by councillors
A record of officer decisions can be downloaded here.
