Care in the community

Community alarm services

Hambleton Lifeline is an emergency alarm call and monitoring service designed to enable older people, the disabled and the vulnerable to continue to live in their own home with greater confidence and security. It is a service delivered by Broadacres.

Community and day centres

North Yorkshire County Council provides services offering people a chance to pursue meaningful and valued work, social and leisure activities.

Hospice care for adults

Hospices are skilled at dealing with pain and other symptom control, and advice and guidance can be found on the North Yorkshire County Council website.

Alternate care providers

North Yorkshire County Council Social Care Services provide care following an assessment of your needs. There are many other organisations that provide additional support such as extra care, supported living, residential and nursing homes. You may find some of these resources useful.
