Take That Step
This service is free to Hambleton residents who are over 18 and have a BMI (Body Mass Index) of between 25 or above.
If you want to lose weight, have a health condition that could be improved by a healthier lifestyle, such as a respiratory condition, heart disease, muscular disorder, obesity or a long term condition such as asthma, arthritis, diabetes and osteoporosis you can benefit from the 'Take That Step' weight management service.
The service is open to any Hambleton resident who is 18 or over and meets the eligibility criteria.
The free 12-week structured weight management programme features the 1-2-1 support of qualified Health and Wellbeing Professionals.
Those eligible for free support must satisfy the following criteria:
- a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 25 or above(see below)
Those that satisfy the following criteria can access the scheme for £36
- at risk of a fall or had a previous fall
- suffer from a long term condition, musculoskeletal conditions, pre-diabetes or mild to moderate mental health conditions.
