Wednesday 13 January

We have been unable to collect household waste from properties that received collections from our smaller vehicle today. The areas affected include Busby Farm calls, Levenside & Manor close in Stokesley, Seamer, Picton, Northallerton, Ainderby Steeple & properties on the A1 service road.

Please leave your bins out and we will collect them as soon as possible.

Monday 4th January - Friday 8th January

Low temperatures and continuous spells of wintry weather have resulted in ice remaining on many roads and paved surfaces. Conditions are expected to continue in some area across the district throughout the rest of the week.

Whilst additional vehicles and staff have been deployed to assist with collections, the conditions in some areas have not improved enough to allow safe access and we may not be able to return.   If this is the case, additional waste or recycling to the equivalent of one missed collection will be collected with your next scheduled collection – waste must be left in black sacks and recycling can only be collected in clear sacks – Recycling clear sacks can be provided on request by calling 01609 779977.

All our crews are working long hours in the difficult conditions and we would like to thank them for their hard work and perseverance and we would like to thank householders for their patience and understanding.
