Selling food
Please note that if you wish to sell food you will need to be registered with the local authority in your area under the registration of a food business establishment in accordance with regulation (EC)no.852/2004, see Food Business Registration Information and complete the Food Application Form.
Selling second-hand goods
If you wish to sell second-hand goods please refer to Second hand goods licence information and you will need to be registered on the North Yorkshire County Council website

Charity market stalls
At Northallerton and Thirsk markets we offer a fee free pitch, and at Northallerton the Town Square is also available on market days. A registered charity or local good cause can book the market or Town Square once every three months, a charity can attend our markets on a more regular basis, though the usual pitch fees will apply.
