Licence - Hackney Carriage Drivers
A licence is required before any person can drive a hackney carriage. Licences are issued subject proof of eligibility -age, possession of driving licence, criminal records check, medical assessment etc.
The driver licence issued by Hambleton District Council also entitles the holder to drive private hire vehicles. In all cases, the licence only entitles the holder to drive private hire vehicles and hackney carriages which are licensed by this Council.
It will be possible to renew your licence online during the renewal period - 1st July 2010 to 30th July 2010.
