Northallerton Station is only 2 1/2 hours direct from London's Kings Cross on the East Coast mainline.
Northallerton and Thirsk stations are both linked via the Trans Pennine Express service to Liverpool, Manchester Airport, Manchester, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Newcastle.
The Grand Central service also links Northallerton and Thirsk with Sunderland, Hartlepool , Eaglescliffe, York and London Kings Cross.
Arriva's Esk Valley Line from Middlesbrough to Whitby stops at Great Ayton, Battersby and Kildale.

Discounted tickets are available from most train companies serving Hambleton stations if booked in advance, available from 12 weeks before travel, until the day before you travel.
