The District Council runs four leisure complexes - in Northallerton, Bedale, Stokesley and Thirsk. Open seven days a week they provide a range of sporting activities for people of all ages - be that swimming , badminton, football and much more. Each has a gym - the Zest Health & Fitness gym - whose team of qualified instructors can guide new exercisers as well as regular users. Northallerton, Stokesley and Thirsk also have floodlit pitches close by.
The authority can offer users special deals through its FASTCARD membership scheme. And businesses can take advantage of corporate membership for its employees.
