Hall of Fame
Hall of Fame For Talented Young Sports People
One of Hambleton's most successful grant schemes has recently celebrated its 25th season. To mark its silver anniversary a 'Hall of Fame' has been created.
The first award from the Talented Young Sports People (TYSP) scheme was made in 1976. Since then more than 165 youngsters from across the District have been given a slice of over 50,000. It has helped them with travelling and coaching expenses, the cost of equipment and entry into competitions. It has covered every sport imaginable - from tennis and cricket to cyclocross and sailing.
The proposed Hall of Fame will eventually feature profiles of past and present TYSP, however, help is needed to compile the Hall of Fame. We urge people to get in touch with us so we can include as many people as possible as a tribute to them.
