Skateboarding & Youth Related Activities
The Purpose of the Scheme
To assist projects that will improve recreational opportunities for young people in the Hambleton District.
Who can apply?
- Parish Councils
- Recreation Associations
- Community Education Service
- A consortium of the listed groups, one of which must be the Community Education Service
Eligible Projects
- Capital items of equipment
- Installation of a Skate Park
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that the equipment/project will have a long term benefit to the youth of the locality.
Where demand outstrips supply, priority will be given to new innovative projects that will increase participation in physical activity.
Retrospective applications will not be considered, however, in exceptional circumstances prior permission may be given to incur expenditure without prejudice to the grant application.
Grant Available
- New Build - limited to 25% of the total cost of the project up to a maximum of 5,000
- Improvements - limited to 25% of the total cost of the project up to a maximum of 2,500 in an6 2 year period
Timing of Application
Applications are considered throughout the year by Hambleton District Council's Spokesperson for Leisure
Applicants must Provide: - A minimum of two quotations
- Constitution of applicant
- The last annual accounts (two years) or bank statement
- Confirmation of any statutory approvals required, eg. planning permission
- Plans of existing and proposed work (if appropriate)
