Reflexology

Reflexology is a form of massage by even pressure of the thumbs and fingers on the feet, which provides a method of working to identify possible problems and stimulate good health in the whole body. It is based on the principle that the body can be mapped out on the feet and can be an effective way of relieving pain and helping to restore the bodies natural balance and well-being.

Benefits of Reflexology

Reflexologists believe that more than 100 common ailments can be treated in this way and it can also be used to maintain good health whilst detecting imbalances in the body at an early stage.

Reflexology also reduces stress, induces deep relaxation, improves circulation, cleanses the body toxins, balances the whole system and can strengthen the immune system.

Massage and Exercise

Professional sports people value massage very highly, not least because it works on several levels. Used before exercise, it can prepare the body for the increase in activity not only by warming and loosening the muscles and joints, but also by stimulating the system both physically and mentally. This is the key to improved performance.

After an exercise session, massage speeds up the elimination of waste products (in particular lactic acid) by stimulating the lymphatic system. The accumulation of these waste products during exercise is the cause of much stiffness and pain experienced afterwards.

Effects of Massage

Massage stimulates and relaxes the body and mind. The skin, blood and lymphatic systems are stimulated, which boosts the circulation, aids cellular renewal and removes toxic wastes. Massage can also effect other body systems, e.g. digestive, respiratory, nervous and endocrine. As tense muscles relax, stiff joints loosen and nerves are soothed, an all-over feeling of relaxation and well-being comes about.

Homeopathy can help you re-establish your emotional balance following times of stress, grief, shock or bereavement. It is also helpful at times of transition such as puberty, menopause, during pregnancy and childbirth.

Homeopathy can provide support throughout your life:
