Fair rents - homes in multiple occupation
If you live in rented housing, the property should meet certain basic standards. Some houses which are occupied by more than one household (Houses in Multiple Occupation) are required to be registered with the Council. They must meet specified standards in relation to such matters as room size, fire safety, cooking, bathing and toilet facilities, so that they are adequate for the number of people occupying them.
