Street naming and numbering register
Street naming and numbering is the registration of new streets and numbering of new dwellings. This also includes new commercial premises, changing name of properties and adding a name to a properties address.
All properties must be registered.

Charges
HAVE YOU GOT PLANNING PERMISSION FOR ONE OF THE FOLLOWING?
- New Builds - Domestic or Commercial
- Conversions - Domestic or Commercial
- Change of use to Domestic or Commercial
if so you will need to register for an address with Hambleton District Council's Street Naming and Numbering Officer
Please note that as from 1st April 2011 there will be an charge as follows
- Developments which include a new road name will be £185 for 10 properties or less, plus 25 for each additional property
- Developments which do not include a new road name will be £70 per property
- Re-naming a property will be £30 per property
- Change of Business name or Alias name no charge (An Alias name is a name attached to a numbered property. The number on the property is the official address and must be used at all times)
To apply, e-mail snnllpg@hambleton.gov.uk or write to Information Technician enclosing an OS location plan and site layout plan stating suggested names for consultation. For change of name or adding of name a site layout plan is not necessary.

Street Name Signs
Street name signs for new developments are the responsibility of the developer, replacement signs are the responsibility of the Council.
