Emergency and Temporary Accommodation
Anyone who approaches the Housing Advice and Homelessness Service having suffered some form of natural disaster which prevents them from returning to their home would be regarded as a priority need applicant and be entitled to the provision of temporary accommodation. Likewise, if a resident was displaced as a result of direct Local Authority action leading to the loss of a persons home, for example through Compulsory Purchase or a regeneration project involving the demolition of a residents home.
For more information contact the Housing Team on 0845 1211555 (office hours) 01609 767267 (out of hours, homelessness) or email housing@hambleton.gov.uk
If you are in need of emergency or temporary accommodation for other reasons there are a number of Bed and Breakfasts within the district and several hostels and women's refuges outside Hambleton that may be able to assist you.
