Disabled people - parking permits - blue badge
This service is delivered by North Yorkshire County Council.
The blue badge scheme is a European scheme of parking concessions for people with severe walking difficulties who travel either as drivers or passengers. The scheme also applies to registered blind people, and people with very severe upper limb disabilities who regularly drive a motor vehicle but are unable to operate all or some types of parking meter. This scheme is effectively a replacement for the orange badge scheme.
