Household waste - garden waste
Garden waste can go in your 'green bin'. Below is a list of all the allowed green bin waste:
| Yes please | No thanks |
| Grass cuttings Clipping Leaves Hedge clippings Small branches Cut flowers Plants and weeds Windfalls Bark | Plastic/sacks/bags
|
Council Policy allows one green bin per household. However, if you have additional green waste you may wish to purcahse degradable sacks.
Degradable sacks can be purchased from Council Offices for £2.50 (roll of 10 sacks). These can be presented at the kerbside for collection alongside your green bin on your normal collection day from 6am. Please note we can only accept degradable sacks that are bought from Council Offices tthese have been specifically purchased to be compatible with our composting arrangements.
Council offices that stock the sacks are Stokesley, Northallerton, Easingwold, Bedale Leisure Centre and Broadacres Office at Thirsk.
