Part 8 of the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003
High Hedges

The above legislation came into effect on 1 June 2005

This allows for complaints to be lodged to Local Authorities regarding a neighbouring high hedge. Before the Authority can intervene complaints are required to have taken steps to resolve the complaint themselves and by the use of a mediation service.

The following form may be used for this.

A fee of £395 for handling complaints is payable upon submission of the complaint form.
