Parks and open spaces - outdoor facilities
In Hambleton parks, play areas and public open spaces are generally managed by recreation groups, Town or Parish Councils.
For more information about your local facilities including location, opening times and events, contact your local parish or town council or tourist information centre.
The Council facilitates the Hambleton Play Partnership that has developed the Hambleton Play Plan Opens in a new window - this document provides an overview of play provision in the District and an Action Plan to help improve provision. Assistance is available to groups who are looking for help to develop a new or existing play area. This includes information on grants, advice on writing business plans and details relating to health and safety. For more information contact our Lifestyles Manager.
The Council also runs a Play Ranger programme targeting rural communities called Aloud Outdoors.
