Waste Collection

Hambleton District Council operates a fortnightly twin bin refuse collection system - supplying households with a green and a black wheeled bin. The black bin takes residual household waste and the green compostable garden waste. Details of the fortnightly rota for black / green weeks can be found here.

Bins should be put out by 6am every collection day - at the property curtilage or the designated collection point. If you are elderly or have a disability that prevents you from putting out the bin - and there is no other member of the household capable of doing it for you - you may qualify for an assisted collection. Please contact the council for further details.

Details of collection days can be found here. If you live outside village limits or in an isolated property please contact the council

The Council also looks after litter control, recycling and market cleaning
