Floodline
Hambleton District Council's FLOODLINE operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In the event of an emergency the Emergency Control Room within the Civic Centre in Northallerton is open round the clock. Manned by Council staff, it co-ordinates the issuing of sandbags to households and businesses. It deals with general enquiries during a crisis as well as issuing Floodwatch information, details on road closures and opening emergency shelters when necessary. Staff work alongside North Yorkshire County Council and the Police.
