Special educational needs - placement in mainstream schools
This service is not delivered by Hambleton District Council - it is delivered by North Yorkshire County Council.
Children with special educational needs are taught in their local mainstream school whenever possible. All schools have a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) who ensures that children with special needs get the right kind of help.
