School nurses provide a variety of services to young people aged from 5 to 19 years, such as providing health and sex education within schools, carrying out developmental screening, undertaking health interviews and administering immunisation programmes.

They can offer advice and support for a whole range of issues including bereavement, divorce and separation, family arguments, stress and relaxation techniques, boyfriend/girlfriend troubles, mood swings/feelings, bullying, self harm, drinking alcohol, smoking, feeling too thin/fat, puberty - body changes. emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, chlamydia screening, advice on behaviour management, or anything at all that is troubling you.
