Family centres
North Yorkshire County Council's Surestart Children's Centres are at the forefront of the Government's policy to develop integrated services for families with young children (0-5 years old).
They are set up in areas which are disadvantaged, perhaps economically, or because of poor housing, or simply by not having many services already available in the area.
