Children and Young People

Children and young people are our future. They are also part of our communities now. In order to take their place in these communities, acknowledging their responsibilities to the rest of their community, they must feel they are a valued part of that community, with an equal right to share in community facilities.

Hambleton District Council is committed to making sure services and facilities are fully accessible to children and young people and recognise the importance of partnership working between organisations in the public, private and voluntary sector who all provide services of some sort to young people. Working together we can help ensure a coherent and integrated approach to providing for and supporting children and young people throughout Hambleton.

To ensure that this happens a Hambleton Children and Young People's Sub Group has been established. The role of this group is to develop, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Hambleton Children and Young People's Action Plan.
