Advocacy for social services clients
If someone from Social Services Opens in a new window or a health team is your Care Co-ordinator, then he or she will liaise on your behalf with other agencies to ensure you receive the most appropriate care.
Alternatively Hambleton and Richmondshire Advocacy Opens in a new window offers a free, independent and confidential advocacy service. An advocate is a person who gives their time and commitment to another person who needs help and support, primarily for older people or people with a learning disability. An advocate will stand alongside a person when they face major changes or difficult choices or need help dealing with issues.
