The Design and Maintenance section are responsible for the management of markets at Northallerton & Thirsk.

Hambleton District Council works with the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA) and has an excellent relationship with officers and members of the National Market Traders Federation (NMTF).

Markets are held on Wednesday's and Saturdays on High Street inNorthallerton, and Thirsk markets are held in the Market Place on Mondays and Saturdays.

A farmers market joins the general market at Northallerton in the High Street (North of the Town Hall) on the 4th Wednesday of each month, (excluding December when it is the 3rd Wednesday due to the Christmas holidays).

We are always interested to receive applications from traders who have innovative products or services to sell at our markets unless we have sufficient provision.
