Sportivate - a new funding opportunity

On 15th November 'Places People Play', the mass participation legacy from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games was launched, backed up by £135 million of National Lottery funding. The legacy will be delivered by Sport England, in partnership with the British Olympic Association, the British Paralympic Association and the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. It will bring the inspiration and magic of a home Olympics and Paralympics into the heart of local communities, encouraging more people to get involved in sport.

Under the 'Play' heading is a programme called Sportivate, a nationwide campaign that will capture the excitement of sport, providing opportunities for teenagers and young adults (aged 14-25) to receive between 6 - 8 weeks of coaching in the sport of their choice and guiding them into regular participation within their community.
